Smart Solution to Dewatering
Our Screw Press offers a single device to flocculate, thicken and dewater the sludge into a cake perfect for feeding into a solar or thermal dryer.
- Flow control tank: Feeds a fixed amount of sludge to the flocculation tank.
- Flocculation Tank: A polymer is mixed to form flocks that can be separated out of the liquid.
- Thickening: The initial filtrate is discharged and the thickened sludge is pushed further for dewatering.
- Dewatering: Gap between the rings and the screw pitch decrease gradually and the resulting pressure of the filter element compresses the sludge.
- End Plate: The end plate creates further pressure at the outlet, resulting in a sludge cake with 20-30% solids.
